BALLAST SPECIFICATIONS

- These ballasts are equipped with next generation Digital+ Technology allowing the ballast to exert greater control over electrical flow to the bulb.  As a result, the voltage output to the bulb is more consistent and stable, resulting in constant lumen output, brightness stability, with no flickering.

- Automatic reverse polarity protection.

- Dual EMI Filter protection Circuit shielding.

- Ultra-slim design and light weight: Our ballast measures 3" x 2 5/8" x 9/16" (7.6cm x 6.6cm x 1.4cm),and weighs only 7 oz (200 g).

- Volt Digital+ ballasts are uniquely designed for aftermarket applications as they are rubber injected to protect against harsh weather conditions

To ensure optimal light output, the Volt HID Kit uses laser calibrated bulbs so that the focal point of the HID bulb matches the focal point of the corresponding halogen bulb.  This will result in both proper fitment and optically correct beam patterns.  These bulbs are rated at approximately 2500 hours of use – same rating as high end Philips and Osram bulbs.  Industry leading AMP style connectors are used to ensure proper water tight connections.  Volt HID is manufactured in an industry leading high tech facility.  Due to stringent manufacturing standards, this product line carries ISO certification, CE and UL safety listed, and is E4 certified. This product carries a two year legitimate warranty.

  1. Saved me after just a couple rides

Posted by KC on 12th Jun 2019

The kit was easy to install once I wrapped my head around the wiring system. The shipping was incredibly fast and the ordering experience was great.

They really light up the night. They are so so much brighter than the stock lights it's almost unbelievable. It basically creates daylight for a large distance in front of you AND well off the side of the road.

I am so glad I installed them when I did. I live in a more rural area with lots of hills and blind corners. I've often said that the deer scare me more than anything. - On my second ride with my new lights installed I finally had the close call of one running out directly in my path from behind a hill.

I fully credit the HID light install for allowing me to see the deer just as it made it's move and started to bolt in front of me. Even with the extra split-second to react I had to hit the front brake so hard that my tail end lifted into the air.

I avoided a direct hit with about 7~ feet to spare in a full stoppie feeling lucky I didn't wipe out.

If the new kit didn't have the type of light throw it does I am not sure I would have been able to pull off that particular stop in time to avoid collision.

    -

After that experience the first thing I did was write to my brother who rides and tell him I want him to upgrade his lights.

If you want to be safer out there than you should as well!

  2. Haven't road tested, but looks nice in the garage!

Posted by Nick on 10th Nov 2014

Still piecing together my bike, but checked the light output inside the garage. Night and day difference on my 06' Daytona 675. Ballasts look great and feel solid. I've only had the lights turned on for about 15 seconds and the ballasts have a high pitch noise coming from them, but I'm sure that goes away once they're 100% warmed up. My previous cars that have had HIDs made the same noise until warm.

    Hi Nick,

The high pitch noise is completely normal so you don't have to worry.

    Enjoy!

  3. Every vehicle should install one of these

Posted by Martin on 21st Sep 2014

Installation was fairly straight forward, only issues I experience was the lack of space on the bike to put the low beam ballast and there wasn't enough space on the back of the high beam cover. Oliver is very helpful as reputation.

Now my car's light is not bright enough in comparison.
